Buttons

Created a sailor short with buttons on both sides.  It is difficult to ensure buttons are symmetrical  . Its there a less time consuming process to align these buttons so they are equal distance from pocket edge and spaced evenly apart?  I tried the clone option but it aligns buttons straight down instead of along the curve of pocket edge.  Do I adjust the position of the "X" axis for each clone button?  Can II create guidelines to follow for button placement?  What are my options?  See screenshot

  Hi Susan, 

  For the buttons, you can use the clone by offset x + y directions. 

  

  You can move then handles (blue and red) as needed to specify placement. You can also always re-select the button and buttonhole and adjust the x or y-direction. I would also recommend that you can move the  button and buttonhole together automatically by clicking the link in the middle
