Converting an Existing Pattern Piece Dart

If you use an existing pattern with an empty or a full dart, before you can edit the dart using the full edit dart functionality, you must convert that dart to a dart object by doing one of the following:

Converting Edges to a Dart

To convert the edges of an existing pattern to a dart:

  1. In the 2D window, click on two edges that share the same corner point or apex.

  2. Go to the Context menu and in the Actions section, select Convert to dart.

The dart is converted to a dart object only if the legs are the same length. If the legs are of different lengths, see Converting Unequal Leg Lengths to a Dart.

The following image shows how edges are converted to a dart.
