Adding a Seam to a Piece

You can add a seam to a piece edge or an internal line.

To add a seam:

  1. If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

  2. If not already open, click the Garment tab.

  3. From the Seams section, drag the seam to the edge or line in the 2D window.

Alternatively:

  1. If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

  3. On the Main toolbar, click Assign.

  4. Go to the Seams section and click the seam.

    Ensure you have selected the seam you want. You can check by viewing the Material in the Horizontal contextual menu.

  5. On the Horizontal contextual menu, ensure Pieces is selected.

  6. In the 2D window, the cursor changes when over a piece to confirm the application is in assign mode. Click on the edge or line you want to add the seam to. The seam is assigned to the edge or line.

You can also drag the seam to an edge, or assign the seam to an edge, in the 3D window.

Incorrect Joins on Seams

If two seams that connect do not join properly, you can remedy the situation by configuring the corner point where the seams meet.

To fix an incorrect join on two seams:

  1. On the Main toolbar, click Select.

  2. On the Horizontal contextual menu, ensure Pieces is selected.

  3. In the 2D window, click the corner point at which the seams meet.

  4. Go to the Context view, in the Corner Seam Alignment section.

  5. Select the appropriate option. For example, if two seams are crossing when they shouldn't, select Meet.
