You can configure buttons and buttonholes that have been assigned to a piece, including whether they display as buttoned or unbuttoned.
To configure:

In the 2D or 3D window, click the button.

Go to the Context view. The Button pane is displayed.

The contents of the pane vary according to whether the button and buttonhole are assigned to the same or separate locations.

Button Pane - Transformation
The information displayed depends on whether the button and buttonhole are assigned to the same or different locations.
Transformation - Button and Buttonhole in Same Location
The following image shows an example of the Transformation section when the button and buttonhole are assigned to the same location. Refer to the table below for details.

Transformation - Button and Buttonhole in Different Locations

Click the thumbnail of the button or the buttonhole to select which part you want to configure. The selected part is highlighted with a blue outline. If the button and buttonhole are dynamically linked, if you move, for example, the button, the matching buttonhole is moved to maintain the original distance from the button.

Clone by Offset Example
For example, assume you are working on a shirt, and have added one button and buttonhole at the top of the shirt front. You want to add five more, directly underneath, with 8 cm spacing. You would complete the dialog box as shown in the following image.
Button Pane - Materials

Click to edit the button and buttonhole materials. The button and buttonhole edit materials are displayed in the Context view.
Note
This has the same effect as clicking the button in the Resources tabs. For more information, refer to Editing Button Materials.

Click to delete the instance of the button from the piece.
