Applying Artwork

Tutorial Map

In this part of the tutorial, you apply artwork to the garments.

Viewing the Artwork

First, let's look at the available artwork.

To view the artwork:

  1. On the Materials tab, go to the Artwork section.

    The Artwork section displays thumbnails of the available artwork materials.

Now, let's apply the artwork.

Applying Artwork to the Sweatpants

First, let's apply the Browzwear name to the sweatpants.

To apply this artwork:

  1. On the Materials tab, go to the Artwork section.

    The artwork to be assigned is BROWZWEAR.

  2. From the Resources tabs, drag the artwork to the sweatpants in the 3D window as shown in the following image. You do not need to exactly match the artwork location.

    Note

    You can also drag the artwork to the 2D window.

  3. On the Main toolbar, click Select.

  4. On the Horizontal contextual menu, ensure that Gizmo is selected.

  5. In the 3D window, click the artwork. The gizmo is displayed. As you hover over the gizmo, a black dot is displayed on the edge of the circle.

  6. In the 3D window, drag the black dot of the gizmo to rotate the artwork as shown in the following image. You do not need to exactly match the artwork rotation.

  7. In the 2D or 3D window, click the artwork. Then go to the Context view, in the Transformation section.

    You can use the settings here for accurate placement and sizing of the artwork. For now, let's just ensure the artwork is aligned with the vertical axis.

  8. In the Transformation section, in Rotate, type in 180. The artwork is now aligned with the vertical axis.

Now, let's apply artwork to the sweatshirt.

Applying Artwork to the Sweatshirt

  1. On the Materials tab, go to the Artwork section.

    The artwork to be assigned is Favicon yellow-01.

  2. From the Resources tabs, drag the artwork to the sweatshirt front piece in the 2D window as shown in the following image. You do not need to exactly match the artwork location.

    Note

    When you click and move the artwork, as in the above image, measuring lines display to help you place the artwork.

  3. In the 2D window, click the artwork. Then go to the Context view, in the Transformation section.

    You can use the settings here for accurate placement and sizing of the artwork, just as you did with the artwork for the sweatpants. For example, if you wanted to match the exact location of the artwork, you would type in the same numbers as shown in the preceding image.
