From there, you can also import and export presets.

    • You can also edit the properties individually.

For more information, refer to the table below.

The Diffuse of the material is the base of the fur, and determines the color of the fur strands and the fur texture.

    Property

    Description

    Length

Length of a strand of the fur.

    Thickness

Thickness of a strand of the fur.

    Gravity

How upright each strand is. A value of 0 means the strand stands straight up.

    Bend

Amount of bend in the strand.

    Taper

Sharpness of the strand. A value of 1 is a sharp point, and a value of 0 is no sharpness.

    Density

How dense the strands are grouped together.

    Curl

Curl is a more pronounced, circular effect on fur. You can set the radius and angle of the curl.

    Variation

The preceding properties are the default setting for each strand of the fur. This property allows you to vary each of the length, thickness, gravity, and curl radius, to a certain extent. A value of 0 means no variation. A value of 1 is the greatest variation.

    Specular

Specular color, amount, and spread for the fur.

  5. If you want to save the current property settings, type a name in the text box, and click Save.

  6. Click Preview to display the render window with a V-Ray render of the garment.

You can also view the fur displaying accurately in a rendered image or turntable output, if you use V-Ray as the render engine. For more information, refer to Rendering in Lotta.
