Substance Presets
Substance presets allow you to apply effects to artwork.
The available Substance presets are described in the following table. When you select a preset, the available properties are displayed.

Emboss |
Emboss effect that makes it look like the fabric is being pushed outwards by the artwork’s graphical area. When selected, the artwork turns completely transparent with the fabric visible from below.
Note: Height is only visible in a ray trace render. |
Embroidery |
Embroidery effect.

Note: A Randomness of 0 creates a grid arrangement |

You may select one or more of the vintage print effect types. The higher the number for an Amount property, the greater the number of scratches, peeling, or scrapes. |
Importing Custom Substance Presets
To import a preset, it must be in SBSAR format.
For information about preparing presets in Substance, refer to Creating Custom Substance Presets.
To import a custom preset:

If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

If not already open, click the Garment tab.
Go to the Artwork section and click any artwork.
Go to the Context view.

If using 2021.3 and newer:

At Material Mode, click the drop-down and select Substance.
Effect (Artwork execution) is displayed.

Click the Effect (Artwork execution) drop-down, then click Import Substance.
A file explorer window is displayed.
Navigate to the SBSAR file you want to import and select it.
In File name, type in the name you want to display as the name of the preset. You cannot use a name that is identical to any inbuilt preset.
Click Open. The preset is imported.
Click the Effect (Artwork execution) drop-down and the preset should display as being available to select.

If using an older version:

At Artwork Execution, click . A menu is displayed of available presets.
Click Import Substance. A file explorer window is displayed.
Navigate to the SBSAR file you want to import and select it.
In File name, type in the name you want to display as the name of the preset. You cannot use a name that is identical to any inbuilt preset.
Click Open. The preset is imported.
In Artwork Execution, click and the preset should display as being available to select.
