Adding a Button to Garment Pieces
You may add a button to a piece using one of the following methods:
-
If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.
On the Materials tab, in the Trims section, click the button you want to use.
On the Main toolbar, click Assign.
-
Go to the 2D window.
The cursor changes to include rulers to help you accurately assign the button to the correct location. Click where you want the button to be located. The button is assigned.
-
If you want the button and buttonhole to be in the same place, press Esc. The button and buttonhole are displayed. The buttonhole is assigned to the location beneath the button, but with no stitches.
If you click on the button location, and there is another piece under the piece the button is on, the buttonhole is assigned to the top piece and the button is assigned to the bottom piece. If you want the buttonhole to be separate from the button, click where you want the buttonhole to be. A dashed line is displayed in the 2D window connecting the button and buttonhole.
