Having an issue with inserting zipper to a pocket across a cut seam.  I created internal lines separately across the cut seam and tried to use the manual insert zipper function but the arrows do not go in the same direction. I think it may be that I created the internal lines separately across the cut seam.  How do I extend an internal line continuously across a cut seam?  See photos

    What can be tricky about smart zippers is that they are somewhat limited in their application.

    This appears to be a bug, which I will report, however having said that I was able to find a workaround. 

    Use the pen tool to draw a line across the pattern, with the Cross option checked.

    You cannot assign a zipper to the crossed line, therefore you will need to uncheck Cross in order to assign the zipper to the line. 
     
    Use the Assign tool and select zipper, check manual assignment. 
    Ensure that both arrows are selected in the same direction and it is not flipped, and then press dress.
     
    The issue may still happen and you might need to try it a few times.
