This feature simplifies the creation of new Collections by allowing users to add styles from existing Collections to a Collection they are currently working on, without needing to switch views.
Access & Permissions
Moderators and Contributors can add styles to their current Collection from another Collection.
Reviewers can add styles to Collections where they have permission.
External users cannot add styles to as they cannot create Collections.
Adding Styles
Click on the “Add Styles” button from the Collection page.
A dialog window will appear displaying drop-down options for Folders and Collections. Users can also type in the search bar to look for specific styles to add.
Once a style or multiple styles are selected by checking the box beside each style, click on the blue “Add Styles” button to add the selected styles to the current Collection.
Based on their roles, users can search for styles across Folders and Collections that they have access to.
Legacy styles may be disabled for selection, and hidden styles will remain hidden.
When a style is added from another Collection to a current one, it retains its hidden colorways and does not include additional linked styles.
All votes and links are reset if a Collection or stye is cloned.
Notifications
When styles are added to a Collection, users will receive a real-time pop-up notification at the bottom right corner of the window.
The notification will stay visible until the process is complete.
If styles fail to be added successfully (e.g. due to an internet issue or disconnection), users will receive an error message that says “Styles X cannot be added. Please try again later”.
Collection owners will receive notifications when styles are added to their Collections.
Notifications are also stored in the Notification Center for future reference.
Legacy Styles in Collections
If a Collection supports Legacy styles, the styles will remain enabled and searchable when adding styles.
To add Legacy styles to a Collection, the user must check the box to “Include legacy styles” in the dialog window when creating a new Collection. This action is fixed once the Collection is created.
To change the setting to include or exclude Legacy styles, a new Collection will need to be created with existing or new styles added to it.
If a Collection does not support Legacy styles, they will be disabled for selection and greyed out in the “Add Styles” dialog window.
Hidden styles in other Collections will also appear greyed out in the dialog window but remain selectable to add to a current Collection.
