The Colorway Generator allows you to create multiple color variations for your 3D styles efficiently in Stylezone. This feature streamlines the process of visualising styles in different colorways by using uploaded color libraries and generating rendered previews.

Access & Permissions

The Colorway Generator is only available in the Folder View (it is not visible from the Homepage or Collection view).

User Roles:

  • Available to: Admins and Members (Moderators, Contributors)

  • Hidden from: Reviewers and External users

Important Note:

  • This feature is only available for Stylezone sites using SSO (either optional or enforced).

  • If you do not see the feature enabled in your environment, please contact Browzwear Support for assistance.

How to Generate Colorways

1. Select Styles

  • Go to a folder and select one or more styles that include a .BW file.

  • For more information on VStitcher Versioning & Setup for Stylezone Admins, read this article.

  • Only the last 3 VStitcher versions are supported for generating new .BW files.

  • Deprecated versions are marked clearly.

  • If a newer .BW file exists than the one selected, it will be skipped.

  • If a deprecated version is selected, the feature is disabled until updated in site Settings.

  • Click on Generate Colorways.

Styles without a.BW file will be greyed out, and a tooltip will explain why it cannot be used.

Note: Colorway Generator does not support legacy-shared styles that use Alvanon avatars due to licensing restrictions

2. Upload a Color Library

  • Click Upload Color Library. Select a .ASE files (Adobe Swatch Exchange)

    • You can select multiple ASE files at a time.

    • The colors will be imported and displayed. If you hover your cursor over the color, a tooltip will display the color codes.

  • A maximum of 100 colors per session can be generated:

    • If you exceed the limit, a banner will appear.

    • The system will still import up to 100 colours (partial import).

  • You can delete any colorways

  • Note: all materials in the file will be recolored using the selected color chip; you cannot specify which color gets used where. If you are looking to recolor pieces/materials individually, use the ColorUp tool instead

3. Generate Colorways

  • Once styles and colors are selected, Click “Generate Colorways”.

  • Each colorway is named automatically based on the color name in the ASE file.

The Colorway Generation feature will utilise the Default Browzwear VQS to render the images.

  • The user who triggers generation will see progress, success, or error messages notifications.

  • If generation is cancelled:

    • Any already generated files are retained.

    • Status is updated to “Cancelled”.

    • Other folder members are only notified when the generation is successfully completed.

What is updated upon generating new colorways:

  • One new .BW file is created per style, based on the current version.

  • This new file includes both old and newly generated colorways.

  • The generated .BW file is uploaded back to the original style as the latest version.

  • Default Rendering Output includes:

    • 1 cover image

    • 1 image per colorway

    • 3D viewer setup

Browzwear Render Credits & Charging

The Colorway Generator utilises Browzwear Render Credits to generate the renders.

Browzwear Render Credits are only deducted for colorways that are successfully generated, including both the .BW file and its renders. If some colorways fail during the process, only the ones that are completed will be charged—failed generations do not incur any cost.

If your credit balance is zero or below, you’ll see a “Not enough credits” message and generation will not proceed. You can review all activity in the Cloud License (CL) report, which includes a “Generate Colorways” entry with a detailed breakdown of the output.
