Thickness Test

On the list on the left side of the page, click Thickness. The following screen is displayed.

Type the sample width into Enter fabric width. (The default is 5 cm.)

Remove any sample fabric from the machine.

Click Start. The movable clamp moves into place.

Position the fabric sample on the FAB according to these instructions.

Click Start.

The test is complete when two blue ticks are displayed on the right side of the page.

Remove the fabric sample.

Click Next.

Ensure both clamps are up by loosening the each tightening knob and lifting the top until it stays in the open position.

Position the sample on the movable clamp.

Slide the sample along the base plate, under the bar and the movable clamp, and flip the end over the lower piece of the movable clamp, back onto the bar.

Roll up the excess so that it fits within the stopper on the movable clamp.
