Silent Installation Packages

Silent installation may be of interest to users who are enterprise businesses. There are no special license or package requirements.

Mac Machines

Installation is done through the Terminal application using the Installer command for silent deployments across your network.

  1. Launch the Terminal application.

  2. Enter the following command to install it as an administrator.

    installer -pkg /path/to/application.pkg -target /Applications

Windows Machines

To run the installation in silent mode, you need to run the exe with the appropriate flags.

  • Installation

    /S runs the installer in silent mode.

  • Uninstallation

    /S runs the uninstall.exe in the application folder in silent mode

Note

If you are using a HASP dongle, follow the steps below to install the HASP driver.

Note that the HASP driver is included in our installation package. This is not required if using cloud licensing.

To install the HASP driver separately:

  1. Go to https://sentinel.gemalto.com/software-monetization/sentinel-hasp/.

  2. Click SUPPORT.

  3. Click SENTINEL DRIVERS AND DOWNLOADS.

  4. Search for:

    • Mac: Sentinel HASP LDK Mac OS X Run-time GUI Installation

    • Windows: Sentinel HASP LDK - Windows GUI Run-time Installer

  5. Download and install the appropriate file.

The following table gives details about the location of ini files required for different configuration.

License configuration

  • Mac

    /etc/hasplm/hasplm.ini

  • Windows

    x64: %CommonProgramFiles(x86)%\Aladdin Shared\HASP\hasplm.ini

    x86: %CommonProgramFiles%\Aladdin Shared\HASP\hasplm.ini

Note

You must enable read/write permissions for all files in the following locations:

  • Mac

    • /Library/Application Support/Browzwear

  • Windows

    • C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Browzwear\

    • C:\ProgramData\browzwear\
