For new licenses, or upgrades to major releases of Browzwear software, there are two parts to setting up your license:

  1. Retrieving current license information (a C2V file) from the HASP key

  2. Applying a V2C file to the HASP key

This topic explains how to apply the V2C file. For information about retrieving a C2V file, refer to Retrieving a C2V File.

Using the Correct Procedure

Ensure you use the correct procedure as shown in the following table.

Browzwear Connect Procedure

To update a HASP key by applying a V2C file:

  1. Once you’ve received an email with the updated license file (V2C), download and save the file on your computer.

  2. Plug the HASP key into your computer.

    Important

    Ensure only one HASP key is plugged in at a time.

  3. On your taskbar (Windows) or menu bar (Mac), click

  4. In the Dongle License section, click

  5. Click Apply V2C. A file explorer window is displayed.

  6. Navigate to the location of the V2C file and select it.

  7. Click Open. The V2C file is applied and the license information is updated.

  8. Continue steps 1-7 for other HASP keys, remembering to only have one key plugged in at a time.

Standard Procedure

To update a HASP key by applying a V2C file:

  1. Once you’ve received an email with the updated license file (V2C), download and save the file on your computer.

  2. Plug the HASP key into your computer.

    Important

    Ensure only one HASP key is plugged in at a time.

  3. Open your internet browser and go to http://localhost:1947/_int_/ACC_help_index.html. The Sentinel Admin Control Center page is displayed.

  4. On the Options menu, click Update/Attach.

  5. Click Choose File. A file explorer window is displayed.

  6. Navigate to the location of the V2C file and select it.

  7. Click Open. The Sentinel Admin Control Center page is displayed.

  8. Click Apply File. A message confirming Your update was applied successfully is displayed.

  9. Repeat steps 1-8 for other HASP keys, remembering to only have one key plugged in at a time.
