Note

Version 2024.1: This version includes the ability to select edges and generate formulas in the 2D Measure dialog box, while viewing the Adjacent Edges table. For further information, see 2D Measure.

Version 2024.2: This version includes the Align to Adjacent Edges option. For further information, see Align to Adjacent Edges.

The table shows the length of the edge between the selected point and the closest corner points.

  • If the selected point is a corner point, the length of the adjacent edges is displayed

  • If the selected point is an intermediate point, the distance to the edge’s corner points is displayed

  • When you hover over a table cell, the cell is highlighted and in the 2D window the corresponding edge or edge section is also highlighted

Align to Adjacent Edges

This option allows more accurate grading by providing a temporary coordinate system to align coordinates to the left or right edge.

To use this option:

  1. From the Main menu select Tools > Sizing and Grading.

  2. Select a point to adjust.

  3. Select the Left or Right button. You will see that the alignment is a continuation of the selected edge. Note that a caution icon caution.PNG appears as a reminder to reset the coordinate system when done.

  4. Adjust the sizing values as necessary. Adjustments to the sizing values will be based on the temporary coordinate system.

  5. When done, click the reset button restore.png to return to the regular coordinates.
