Single Stitch

You can make the following types of single stitch:

From Edge to Edge

To stitch from edge to edge:

  1. On the Main toolbar, click Stitch.

  2. On the Horizontal contextual menu, ensure Multi Stitch is not selected.

  3. In the 2D window, click one edge, then click the other edge.

    Stitches are indicated by a colored needle icon.

    The following image shows the making of a single stitch of two edges.

From Point to Point

To stitch from point to point:

  1. On the Main toolbar, click Stitch.

  2. On the Horizontal contextual menu, ensure Multi Stitch is not selected.

  3. In the 2D window, click one point, then click the other point.

    Stitches are indicated by a colored needle icon.

From Edge to Two Points

When a piece needs to be stitched onto or inside another piece, you can stitch the edges to points. For example, when stitching pocket pieces to a shirt front.

To stitch from an edge to two points:

  1. On the Main toolbar, click Stitch.

    Stitch

  2. On the Horizontal contextual menu, ensure Multi Stitch is not selected.

  3. In the 2D window, click on the edge, then click one point, then the other point.

    Stitches are indicated by a colored needle icon.

The following image shows the stitching of a pocket to the front of a shirt, as a series of stitches from an edge to two points.

After you have created a stitch, stitch construction properties are displayed in the Context view.
