Viewing Absolute Measurements on the Avatar

To view the body part for which an absolute measurement is shown, click inside the number field for a measurement:

  • A yellow line is displayed in the 3D window showing what is being measured

  • A thin light-blue line is displayed in the 3D window showing any secondary (related) measurements

If you edit a measurement, proportionate changes are made to the related measurements.

For example, the following image shows Olivia. Her shoulders are being edited. (The user has clicked in the Shoulders box displaying the current measurement.) Note the blue lines showing the related measurements.

olivia-shoulders.png

Sliders

The color of the slider handle for a property is significant.

  • Blue - a default value.

    height.png
  • Orange - an edited value.

    height2.png

When you click on a measurement slider, as with clicking on a value:

  • A yellow line is displayed in the 3D window showing what is being measured

  • A thin light-blue line is displayed in the 3D window showing the secondary (related) measurements

Reminder: If you edit a measurement, proportionate changes are made to the related measurements.

Reset

After editing a measurement, a reset icon is displayed: reset3.PNG. To reset the value, click reset3.PNG.

Automatic Adjustment

As you edit the value for a measurement, the software automatically makes proportionate changes in the related measurements. For example, if you edit the value for the hip, the software automatically adjusts the waist, high hip, and thigh.

Important Exception to Automatic Adjustment

If you have already edited a related measurement, the software excludes that from any automatic adjustment.

Example: If you click on the hip, one of the related measurements is the thigh. Assume you edit the thigh. First, the slider handle displays in orange. Second, if you now click on the hip, the thigh is not highlighted as a related measurement. If you edit the hip, the software does not automatically update the thigh. You can still edit the thigh manually.

The following image shows this feature in action. First, the Hip is selected and the related measurements are highlighted. These include the Thigh. No actual edit is done to the Hip. The user then edits the Thigh. Having edited the Thigh, when the user then clicks the Hip, the Thigh is no longer shown. Editing the Hip at this point does not affect the Thigh.
