Finding Your Computer Specifications

This section tells you how to find your computer specifications.

Windows Computers

To find the specifications of a Windows 10 computer:

  1. Click the Start button: Start.

  2. Click the Settings button: Settings. The Settings page is displayed.

  3. Click System. The System page is displayed.

  4. Scroll to the bottom left of the page and click About.

    1. On the right side of the page, under Device specifications, details of the computer processor and RAM are displayed.

    2. On the right side of the page, under Windows specifications, details of the Windows software are displayed.

  5. On the left side of the page, click Storage. Details of the available storage are displayed.

  6. Click the Start button: Start and type system information. Click the System Information app that appears. The System Information page is displayed.

  7. On the left panel, click Components, then click Display. In Adapter Description, the graphics card details are displayed.

Mac Computers

To find the specifications of a Mac computer:

  1. At the top left corner of your screen, click the Apple icon. A menu is displayed.

  2. Click About This Mac. The System Information window is displayed including the software version, processor, installed memory (RAM), and graphics card.

  3. In the System Information window, click the Storage tab to display details about the computer’s storage.
