Seam Allowances

In VStitcher, you can set the seam allowance for an edge, and also the format for a seam corner.

To set a seam allowance and format:

  1. In the 2D window, click the edge.

  2. Go to the Context view, in the Actions section.

  3. If not already selected, select Seam Allowance.

  4. Set the amount of seam allowance: either drag the bar or type in the value.

  5. On the 2D window toolbar, toggle 2dtoolbar-allowances.png to display the seam allowance.

    Expand the following image to view how the seam allowance is displayed.

  6. On the Horizontal contextual menu, ensure Edit Points is selected.

  7. Click one of the edge points.

  8. Go to the Context view.

  9. In the Point Properties section, click the Allowance Corner drop-down.

  10. Select from the drop-down the type of seam allowance corner you want.

    • Regular 1

    Note

    The types also determine the order of fold. There is no visual difference between the regular 1 and 2.
