Auto Combine Layers
Available only for normal and displacement maps.
Where there are multiple normal or displacement maps, by default they are blended by replacement: the pixels of the top map are replaced by the pixel of the lower map. Therefore, if for example the top map is opaque, the lower map is not visible.
If Auto Combine Layers is selected, the maps are blended together by each pixel being combined equally with the pixel below it. This option is used to create effects such as puckering using the depth map of the base fabric.
