While in walk mode, you can insert notches at any point in a piece.
To insert a notch:
In the 2D window, right-click on any point on the piece.
Note
If the garment is graded, the notch is automatically graded. That means that if you are working on a pattern of a particular size (for example, Medium), the other sizes in the file will have a notch inserted at the same point.
Select Insert Notch.
If there is already a point below the pivot point, it is automatically set to be a notch.
In the Insert Notch menu, select one of the following:
Walk Piece
Stationary Piece
Both Pieces
A notch is inserted.
