Overview

This is only applicable for Version 2025.2 and newer.

With Print Layout for Sizes , you can now customize and save layouts for every size directly inside VStitcher, ensuring accurate production files without extra editing.

How to Use the Print Layout Tool

  1. Go to the Tools Menu and open the Print Layout Tool.

  2. The tool opens in 2D view with a default print area (150 × 150 cm), frame, grain direction, and size label.

  1. Select a size from the main toolbar.

  1. In the 2D window, move or rotate pieces to create the optimal layout for that size.

    • Scaling pieces is not allowed.

    • Undo/redo actions are supported.

  2. Repeat for each size as needed.

Tip: If no layout exists for a size, the base size layout is used by default.

Key Features

  • Layout Per Size

    • Define unique layouts for each size.

    • Layouts are saved at file level.

    • Use Reset All to restore base size layout across all sizes.

  • Export Behavior

    • Tech Pack and Print to File exports use the saved layouts when the Full Layout for All Sizes option is enabled.

    • Exported PDFs reflect accurate layouts per size.

    • Single File Export (nesting view) still uses the base size layout.

  • Available Controls

    • Optimize Layout: AI-driven automatic piece packing.

      • This may not always prevent piece overlap—manual adjustments may be required.

    • Keyboard shortcuts: e.g., Shift + rotate = snap 45°.

    • Transformation Panel: X/Y values, rotate angle, Flip X/Y

Notes and Limitations

  • Layouts persist between sessions.

  • Available in Lotta with rotations disabled.
