In VStitcher, you can set the seam allowance for an edge, and also the format for a seam corner.
Adding Seam Allowance
To set a seam allowance and format:
1.) Select the desired edge(s) on your pattern
2.) In the right-hand context view, select the "Seam Allowance" button:
3.) Set your seam allowance value:
Note: this value can be also be a negative value. This is useful if you import a pattern that was exported on the cut line instead of the sew line. More information about how this works here: Removing Seam Allowances - An Outline
Viewing Seam Allowance
Depending on what is enabled in your 2D window toolbar, the seam allowance may not be visible. To enable seam allowance in 2D, select this button:
Your seam allowance will appear around any edge you applied it to:
Note: The color of your seam allowance can be customized in your preferences under the 2D Window tab.
Adjusting Corner Seam Allowance Type
When two edges that have seam allowance applied meet, we may need to adjust how the seam allowance is shaped in preparation for construction.
Select any corner point that connects your two edges, and choose the desired seam alignment type from the right-hand context view:
