Overview
Materials are an essential part of building realistic and production-ready garments in VStitcher. You can import fabrics, trims, seams, and artworks from your local files or from cloud asset libraries and apply them directly to your 3D Garments.
Adding a Material from File Browser
Open your garment in VStitcher.
In the Resource pane (left side of the screen), go to the Materials section.
Click the hamburger menu
in the section where you want to add a material (Fabric, Seams, Artwork, or Trims).
Choose Add Fabric, Add Seam, Add Artwork, or Add Trim.
In the file browser, select a supported file type:
Images: PNG, JPG, TIFF, TGA, PSD, GIF, SVG, AI
If you add an image as a fabric, it will use default fabric physics.
3D files: FBX, OBJ, U3M, SBSAR
This is only applicable for Trims.
Click Open.
The material will appear in the resource pane and can be assigned to pieces in your garment.
