User Access Denied Due to Lack of Available Seats

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Overview

VStitcher, Lotta and Stylezone licenses are managed through Browzwear’s Cloud Licensing system.

Each user who needs access to must have a license seat available to them.

If a user sees an “Access Denied” message when launching VStitcher, it means the number of users with access to the software exceeds the number of license seats available to your organization.

This article explains why this happens and how administrators can resolve it.

Why This Error Occurs

This error typically occurs when:

  • The number of users with access to VStitcher exceeds your licensed seat count

  • A new team member was added without increasing available seats

  • User access was not updated after team or role changes

To ensure uninterrupted access, your organization should maintain enough license seats for all users who require access to VStitcher.

Who Can Resolve This Issue

Only those with Moderator permissions in the Cloud Licensing Portal can manage user access and license seats.

How to Resolve the “Access Denied” Message

Step 1: Review User Assignments

  1. Log in to the Cloud Licensing Portal

  2. Navigate to Users

  3. Review the list of users who currently have access

Confirm that each listed user actively needs access to the software.

Step 2: Verify Your Licensed Seat Count

Compare:

  • The number of licensed seats assigned to your organization

  • The number of users who require access

If these numbers do not align, users may experience access interruptions.

Best practice: Your licensed seat count should match the number of users who need access.

Step 3: Update Access or Licensing as Needed

Depending on your situation, you may need to:

  • Remove access for users who no longer require access

  • Reassign users to user groups without contract seat access

  • Purchase additional license seats to support new or growing teams

Maintaining accurate user assignments helps prevent recurring access issues.

Preventing Future Access Issues

To avoid future disruptions:

  • Verify number of users equals number of contract seats assigned to the user group

  • Regularly review user lists in the Cloud Licensing Portal

  • Update your license count as your team grows

For more information on user groups and assigning contracts to user groups refer to Setting Up Your Organization.
