Auto Arrange & Stitch

How to automatically arrange and stitch your garments in VStitcher

Note: This feature is rolling out in phases. A feature ID must be added to your account by Browzwear before it is accessible. Contact your CSM or reach out to support to confirm availability. You can prepare by completing the first three requirements now.

Getting Started with Auto Stitch

Auto Stitch automates pattern piece arrangement and garment stitching in VStitcher, giving you a strong starting point and significantly reducing manual setup time.

Requirements

To use Auto Stitch, all of the following conditions must be met:

Browzwear enabled conditions:

  • Browzwear Single Login enabled

  • Auto Stitch Feature ID

Note: If any of these requirements are not met, Auto Stitch will not be available in VStitcher.

Freelancer licenses do not support Auto Stitch.

How Auto Stitch Works

How Auto Stitch Learns and Improves

Auto Stitch is powered by an algorithm that is tailored to your organization’s data. This ensures results are aligned with your specific product types and workflows.

Learning from Your Files

Auto Stitch learns from the garment files in your Stylezone site. The more relevant files it has access to, the more accurate its predictions will become over time.

The system does not learn across different customers. Each organization’s model is built only on its own data.

Garment Categories & Prediction Quality

The effectiveness of Auto Stitch is directly tied to the garment categories available in your Stylezone site. The feature learns per category — so the more garments you have uploaded within a specific sub-category, the smarter and faster the automation becomes for that garment type.

Auto Stitch is an evolving capability. Its effectiveness grows over time as your Stylezone library expands - especially within specific categories and sub-categories. We recommend prioritizing the garment categories most relevant to your current workflow when evaluating the feature.

Before You Run Auto Stitch

Before your first run — Initial Training

When Auto Stitch is first enabled, it will begin training on the garments available in your StyleZone site. During this time, you may see a message that reads "Initial Training in Progress." This is expected — simply check back shortly, and the feature will be ready to use once training is complete.

Preparation Steps For Best Results

Use a consistent avatar

Use the same avatar across your garments. Avatar consistency helps improve prediction accuracy.

Prepare your garment pieces

Auto Stitch works on all pieces in your garment. Before running the automation:

  • Make sure only the pieces relevant to the current garment variation are included.

  • If your DXF contains pieces for multiple garment variations, use “Don’t Use Piece” to exclude pieces that don’t belong to the current variation.

Check for missing symmetrical pieces

Some DXF files include only one side of symmetrical pieces. If a symmetrical piece is missing, create the corresponding symmetrical piece in VStitcher before running the automation.

Prepare pieces for knots

For garments that include knots, the relevant pattern pieces may need to be cut or prepared for knot implementation in VStitcher before running the automation.

Run the Automation

Go to VStitcher main menu → Auto Stitch and Arrange.

A progress bar tracks the automation. A pop-up confirms when it's done.

Review Results

Always review before dressing:

  • Verify stitch logic in the Stitch List.

  • Check arrangement in both Arrange mode and Prepare mode (3D window).

  • Manually adjust any incorrect stitches or arrangement before proceeding.

  • Zippers, pleats, and symmetry must still be applied manually.

Tip — quickly locate a stitch in 3D: Select a stitch in the 2D window or Stitch List → click the 3D window → press F.

Feedback

After completing an Auto Stitch operation, you'll be prompted to rate the Arrange and Stitch results on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, with an optional comments field. Please take a moment to submit this feedback — it directly shapes how we improve and enhance Auto Stitch going forward.

Troubleshooting

Button not visible in menu

  • Confirm version 2026.1.2+, feature ID enabled on your account, and active Stylezone site. (Enabled by Browzwear)

Network connection error

Existing stitches were overwritten

  • Auto Stitch reprocesses the entire garment each run. Run it on unstitched garments, or as the first step before manual refinements.

"Initial Training in Progress" won't clear

  • Large libraries take longer. Wait and check back. Contact support if it persists.

Only Auto Stitch under Main Menu > Garment > Labs is visible

  • A message shows: “Auto stitch supports basic T-shirt garments only. Unexpected results may occur”. This message appears because you are using an older version of VStitcher. In these versions, Auto Stitch is limited and only available as a Labs feature.

  • A newer, full-featured version of Auto Stitch is included in VStitcher version 2026.1.2 and later. To access the improved feature, update your software to version 2026.2.1 or newer. After updating, make sure to review the additional requirements outlined in this article to enable the new Auto Stitch functionality.

FAQ

What are the requirements to use Auto Stitch?

To use Auto Stitch, your organization needs all of the following: VStitcher version 2026.1.2 or later, an active Stylezone site with garments uploaded to Stylezone for the feature to learn from, the Auto Stitch feature ID and Browzwear Single Sign on. The last two are enabled by Browzwear during feature roll out. If any of these aren’t in place, Auto Stitch won’t appear in VStitcher.

Do I need a lot of garments in Stylezone for it to work?

Auto Stitch works best when your Stylezone site has a healthy library of garments — especially within the categories you work with most. As you upload more of your own garments over time, the predictions will continue to improve.

Does Auto Stitch learn from other customers’ data?

No. Auto Stitch builds a model tailored specifically to your organization’s garment data. Each customer’s model is trained only on their own files — your data is never shared with or used by other organizations.

Which garment versions does Auto Stitch use for training?

Auto Stitch uses only the current version of each garment in your Stylezone site. Full version history is not included at this time.

How accurate are the results?

Auto Stitch intelligently predicts piece arrangement and stitching, and in many cases the results are ready to use with minimal adjustment. We recommend reviewing the output and completing any remaining steps before moving on — think of it as a strong starting point that saves you the bulk of manual work, not a fully hands-off process.

What should I do before running Auto Stitch for the first time?

A few things to get the best results: use a consistent avatar across your garments, make sure only the pieces relevant to the current garment variation are included (use “Don’t Use Piece” to exclude extras), check that symmetrical pieces are present on both sides, and prepare any knot-related pieces in advance.

What happens the first time Auto Stitch is enabled?

When Auto Stitch is first turned on for your organization, it needs to train on the garments in your Stylezone site. During this initial training period, you may see a message that reads “Initial Training in Progress.” This is expected — check back shortly, and the feature will be ready once training completes.

My organization uses a corporate proxy or firewall. Will Auto Stitch work?

Auto Stitch requires an internet connection to communicate with Browzwear's cloud services. Corporate proxies and firewalls are an important part of your organization's security posture. If VStitcher needs to be added to your network's allowlist, it will display a standard "network connection" message prompting you to contact your IT team. Your IT team can enable access by configuring the appropriate network permissions for VStitcher. For detailed network and firewall requirements, your IT team can refer to Network and Firewall Requirements. If you need further guidance, reach out to Browzwear Support.

Will Auto Stitch get better over time?

Yes. Auto Stitch is an evolving capability. As your Stylezone library grows — especially within specific categories and sub-categories — the predictions become smarter and more accurate. We recommend prioritizing the garment categories most relevant to your current workflow when getting started.

Who do I contact if I have questions or run into issues?
