Generate with AI

What is Generate with AI?

Generate with AI is the AI image generation capability built into the Whiteboard. It lets you create design visuals — garments, outfits, sketches, fabrics, photoshoots, and more — directly on the canvas using text prompts, image references, or a combination of both.

How to generate

There are two ways to start:

From an image - select one or more images already on the canvas, click the + icon that appears, and choose a generation type from the menu. A prompt block is automatically created and linked to your selected images:

From text alone - click the AI Ideation icon in the toolbar and choose a generation type. A prompt block is placed in the center of the canvas, ready for your input:

Generation types

Under Concepts: Free-text Ideation, Garment, 2D Sketch, Artwork, Fabric Pattern. Under Photoshoot: On Model, Outfit, Flat-lay Garment.

Upon selection, a prompt block will then appear with the prompt partially filled out. The pre-filled prompt will change depending on what you selected. This pre-filled content can be modified, and expanded upon.

Writing your prompt

Type a description of what you want to generate. The prompt field starts as a 4-line text area and expands up to 8 lines, then scrolls. Maximum prompt length is approximately 1,000–1,500 characters.

Be as specific as you can — mention silhouette, fabric, color, and use case for best results.

Using image references

You can attach up to 8 reference images per generation. Supported input formats are PNG, JPEG, and WEBP. References can be garment photos, fabric swatches, color references, sketches, avatars, or runway images.

The system uses all visual inputs to synthesize a cohesive output. If you add explicit instructions in your prompt, they always take priority over the visual references.

If two or more images are selected but your prompt is empty, the system will automatically attempt to blend the images into a unified output.

Choosing how many images to generate

Use the number selector in the prompt block to choose between 1 and 10 output images. If your prompt text specifies a different number, the UI setting always wins.

Choosing output ratio and resolution

Select your preferred aspect ratio from: 1:1, 2:3, 3:2, 3:4 (default), 4:3, 9:16, 16:9, or 21:9. Your last-used ratio is remembered per whiteboard until you change it or clear your browser session.

  • Resolution is set at the company level (Low by default) and can be overridden per generation at Low or Medium.

  • Higher resolution produces sharper results but consumes more render credits.

  • Your resolution selection persists per whiteboard until you change it or clear your browser session.

  • Typing a resolution into the prompt text does not override the UI setting.

Credits

Image generation uses BW Render Credits. Credits are deducted only after a successful generation; failed generations are not charged. Each generated image consumes credits based on its resolution tier.

You can track credit usage in the Credit Usage report in Cloud License.

  • If your account has insufficient credits, generation is blocked and a message is shown. Contact your administrator or Browzwear Support to top up.

  • If you’d like to limit credit usage, admin can configure whiteboard access per user role in Settings.

Rate limit

You can run up to 10 generation jobs per 10 minutes. A job can produce up to 10 images but counts as 1 toward the limit. If you reach the limit, a message is shown and you can try again after a few minutes.

What to expect from generated images

Generated images appear directly on the canvas as new, independent objects. They can be moved, resized, duplicated, and deleted like any other image.

They are not automatically saved to your Style.

Use the Save to Style action to add a generated image to a colorway. Each generation creates new images and never overwrites existing ones.

Availability

Generate with AI in Whiteboard is available to Enterprise and Teams users with an active AI Ideation entitlement. It is not available to Freelancer or non-SSO users. If the feature is not enabled for your organization, the Generate button will display a message when clicked. Contact your Browzwear account manager to enquire about access.
