Auto Simulation of Sizes

How to quickly simulate multiple sizes with one click

In version 2026.1.2 and onward, we can automatically dress multiple sizes of our garment with one click, maintaining consistent pose and preparation state across all sizes.

File preparation

Before simulation is possible, prepare your file by confirming the following:

  1. The garment is arranged inside of arrange mode

  2. The garment is stitched

  3. You have selected your desired Avatar Size Set to be used with this style

Note: If an Avatar Size Set is not chosen prior to auto simulating your sizes, the currently loaded avatar in the 3D window will be used for all sizes.

Enabling Auto Simulation of Sizes

Once you have prepared your file, you can now simulate your size run. Under the Dress icon in the Main Menu, select the drop-down menu to find the Dress Multiple Sizes option:

Not seeing this option available?

  • Ensure the file you are using has more than one size in it. If the file only has one size, this option will be greyed out:

Choosing Sizes to Simulate

Once you select this option, you can then choose which sizes you wish to simulate:

You can select the top option to choose all sizes, or manually select sizes as you wish.

Running the Simulation

Simulation will run sequentially, in ascending order; your smallest size will dress first, then will finish with your largest size. While simulation is running, you will see the sizes automatically dressing in the 3D window with a progress bar indicating the status of the simulation:

Finishing Simulation/Saving Snapshots

Once simulation is complete, you will receive a pop-up notification alerting you that simulation is finished:

You will find all your simulations saved in the snapshots menu:

FAQ

Who can use this feature?

  • Anyone with a valid license who is using version 2026.1.2 or newer

How many sizes can I simulate?

  • There is no limit to the amount of sizes that can be simulated

Does it cost to use this feature?

  • This tool is available to anyone with a valid VStitcher license and does not require any additional purchases or credits to use.

Can I stop simulation partially through?

  • No, simulation will continue to run until all sizes have been simulated and cannot be stopped mid-way through

What happens if I have more sizes in my run than I have sizes in my avatar size set?

The avatar assigned to the largest size in your avatar size set will be used for any larger sizes that may exist in your garment size run.

For example, if your avatar size set has three sizes:

  • S - Dolly 36

  • M - Dolly 38

  • L - Dolly 40

But your size run has four sizes:

  • S

  • M

  • L

  • XL

The Dolly 40 avatar will be used for sizes L and XL as it is paired with the largest size in your avatar size set. You can manage your size sets in the Avatar Size Set Manager tool.
