For new licenses, or upgrades to major releases of Browzwear software, there are two parts to setting up your license:

  1. Retrieving current license information (a C2V file) from the HASP key

  2. Applying a V2C file to the HASP key

This topic explains how to retrieve current license information, in the form of a C2V file, from the HASP key. For information about applying the V2C file, refer to Applying V2C Files.

Using the Correct Procedure

Ensure you use the correct procedure as shown in the following table.

Browzwear Connect Procedure

To retrieve the C2V file:

  1. Plug the HASP key into your computer.

    Important

    Ensure only one HASP key is plugged in at a time.

  2. On your taskbar (Windows) or menu bar (Mac), click

  3. In the Dongle License section, click

  4. Click Generate C2V. Your C2V file is automatically named with your HASP ID number and downloaded.

  5. Continue steps 1-4 for other HASP keys, remembering to only have one key plugged in at a time.

  6. Send the C2V files to [email protected].

Standard Procedure

Using a Black or Red HASP Key

To use a black or red HASP key:

  1. Plug the HASP key into your computer.

    Important

    Ensure only one HASP key is plugged in at a time.

  2. Open your internet browser and go to http://localhost:1947/_int_/ACC_help_index.html. The Sentinel Admin Control Center page is displayed.

  3. On the Options menu, click Sentinel Keys. Details of the HASP key are displayed.

  4. Select the row displaying your HASP key.

  5. Click the C2V button at the far right.

  6. Click Download C2V File. Your C2V file is automatically named with your HASP ID number and downloaded.

  7. Continue steps 1-6 for other HASP keys, remembering to only have one key plugged in at a time.

  8. Send the C2V files to [email protected].

Using a Purple HASP Key

To use a purple HASP key in a Mac, follow the same procedure as with a red or black HASP key. For more information, refer to Using a Black or Red HASP Key.

To use a purple HASP key in a PC:

  1. Download Browzwear_HASP_RUS.zip by clicking here.

  2. Navigate to the downloaded Browzwear_HASP_RUS.zip file and unzip it.

  3. Plug the HASP key into your computer.

    Important

    Ensure only one HASP key is plugged in at a time.

  4. Run Browzwear_HASP_RUS.exe. A dialog box is displayed.

  5. In the Collect Status Information tab, click Collect Information. A file explorer window is displayed.

  6. Type a name for the C2V file using the following format: HASPID Number_YourCompanyName. For example, 12345678_WidgetFashion.

    Note

    If you don't know your HASP ID Number, do one of the following:

    • Open VStitcher or Lotta, and go to Help > Plug Info.

    • Open your internet browser and go to http://localhost:1947/_int_/ACC_help_index.html. In the Sentinel Admin Control Center, in the Options menu, click Sentinel Keys. The Key ID column displays the ID number.

  7. Navigate to where you want to save the file, and click Save. A message confirming Key status retrieved is displayed in the dialog box.

  8. Repeat steps 3-7 for other HASP keys, remembering to only have one key plugged in at a time.

  9. Send the C2V files to [email protected].
