Using Smart Guides

Smart Guides are guidelines that display in the 2D window when you are moving a piece or internal element - such as artwork, or an internal line.

  • With Smart Guides enabled, when moving an internal element, a magenta colored guideline displays showing the bounding box edge of the piece, or the horizontal or vertical center lines of the piece, when the internal element being moved comes close to it.

The following image shows the horizontal and vertical center lines of the piece being displayed, while moving the artwork.
