Asset Libraries
This feature adds the capability of using remote asset libraries inside the application so you can easily access resources for use in your garments. The application includes a default Browzwear asset library.

Supplied as a result of Browzwear’s collaboration with Avery Dennison, this asset library includes materials for printed fabric and woven labels, heat transfers, and paper hanging tags.

Supplied as a result of Browzwear’s collaboration with Jeanologia. For information about integration with Jeanologia, refer to Jeanologia Integrations.
This asset library includes a selection of finishes designed for denim. Each is downloaded as a PNG file in the Artwork part of the Resources tabs.
YKK Zipper Library
Supplied as a result of Browzwear’s collaboration with YKK, this asset library includes a selection of YKK zippers and zipper pullers or sliders. The zippers are compatible with Browzwear’s smart zippers.
To use a zipper from the YKK Asset Library:

On the Resources tabs, click Materials, then Libraries.

Click . A list of available libraries is displayed.

Click YKK Zipper Library.

In the Zipper Type section, click the zipper you want to use. The zipper is downloaded to Trims, in the Edge Assignable section.

Assign the zipper to the appropriate edges on your garment as with any other smart zipper. For more information, refer to Adding a Zipper to Garment Pieces.

If you want to change the puller, refer to Changing the Puller on a YKK Zipper.
Changing the Puller on a YKK Zipper
You can change the puller on a YKK zipper.
To change the puller:
-
Open the YKK Zipper Library.

Click the puller (slider) you want to use. The puller is downloaded to Trims, in the Piece Assignable section.

On the Resources tabs, click Garment.
-
Go to Trims, in the Piece Assignable section. Drag the puller to the zipper in the Edge Assignable section. The puller overwrites the existing puller in the zipper.

To view asset libraries:

If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

On the Materials tab, click Libraries. An asset library is displayed.

Click to display the available libraries and then select the library you want to use.
The library includes a search facility.
To search:
-
Start typing in the search field.
The assets are filtered to display according to the search.

To clear the search, clear the search field or click the 'X' icon at the right of the search field.
To download an asset to the garment you are working on:

Go to the asset library.

On the asset library, click the thumbnail image of the asset you want.
For example, in the following image, the user is about to download the asset displaying the download icon.
The asset is added to your garment. You can check by clicking Garment at the top of the Materials tab.
Downloading a Section of Assets
You can also download a section of assets by clicking for the section. For example, in the following image, clicking downloads all the Knits.
Hover over the thumbnail images to display status icons.

This asset is ready to download.

This asset is downloaded to the garment materials. If this icon is displayed, you can drag the asset directly to the garment.

This asset is cached, but not in the current garment materials. You can click the “+” icon to download the asset to the garment materials. You can also drag the asset directly to the garment.
To use the libraries menu:

Go to the Libraries tab. (For more information, refer to Viewing Libraries.)

On the Libraries tab, click . The asset libraries menu is displayed.

Click Reload Source to reload the asset library. For example, you might do this to load a new version of the asset library, or where there has been a connection issue.

Click Clear Cache to clear the asset library assets from your cache. The cache is on your local hard drive.

Click Add Library to add your own library. A file explorer window is displayed. Navigate to the folder with the library and click Select Folder. The library is added to the available libraries.

Using the U3M file format, you can create, upload, share, and manage your own asset libraries. For more information about the file format, refer to U3M.

Creating a Library
To create the library, you export materials from garments. To export the materials, you can export all the materials from an existing garment, and you can export an individual material.
To export all the materials from an existing garment:

Load the garment from which you want to export the materials.

On the Main menu, click File.
-
Click Export Material Library. The available options are displayed.

Click:
-
Packed U3M Library (*.u3ma) to export the materials all in U3MA file format.
-
Unified 3D Material Library (*.u3m) to export the materials in a U3M folder structure.

Navigate to the folder where you want to export the materials, then click Select Folder. The materials are exported.
Older Than 2019 August Edition (2019.2.1 Build 50816)

Load the garment from which you want to export the materials.
-
On the Main menu, click File.
-
Click Export. A file explorer window is displayed.

Navigate to where you want to save the exported file.
-
(Optional) Type in a new file name.
-
Click the Save as type drop-down.
-
Click Packed U3M Library (*.u3ma) to export the materials all in U3MA file format.

Click Unified 3D Material Library (*.u3m) to export the materials in a U3M folder structure.

Click Save. The materials are exported.
To export an individual material:

Load the garment from which you want to export the material.

If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

If the Garments tab is not already open, click Garments.
-
Hover over the material you want to export to the library, and click . A menu is displayed.

Click Export as U3M. A file explorer window is displayed.

Navigate to the library folder, and select it.
-
Click Select Folder. The material is exported to the folder in U3M file format.

Adding a Library
To add a library, use the Libraries menu. Once you have added the library to VStitcher it is available for all future files you work on.
In addition to using libraries created using the U3M format, you can also add your own asset libraries using the Open Platform, if you have the appropriate license.

If you set your language in Preferences to Simplified or Traditional Chinese, the names of assets in the bundled asset libraries display in the selected language. If you do not edit the asset name, and then change your language in Preferences to English, the name automatically updates to the English version.
