3D Stitching
Other Help content is presented on the assumption you are using the 2D window. This section describes stitching in the 3D window.
The following table shows the stitch types available in the 3D window, and how you can use them in VStitcher.

3D stitching uses the same techniques as 2D stitching, but instead of clicking on edges and lines in the 2D window, you are clicking on edges and lines in the 3D window.
To do 3D stitching you need to be able to navigate in the 3D window, and be familiar with Look At mode. For more information, refer to 3D Window Details.
3D Stitching Enhancements
When you select the stitch tool, the following display in the 3D window:
Corner points of pattern pieces - each is shown as a blue cube.
Notches - each is shown as a yellow object.
Stitch pins - shown on each edge that has a stitch, similar to the 2D window. The default color of the stitch pin is pink, becoming green when selected or hovered over.
The preceding items also display in prepare mode when you select the stitch tool.
Toggle Display of 3D Stitch Pins
You can now decide whether to display stitch pins in the 3D window. For example, when working on complex garments that have many stitches, you may find the view clearer without the stitch pins displaying.
By default, stitch pins are displayed in the 3D window.
To turn the display off:
On the Main toolbar, click Stitch.

On the Horizontal contextual menu, click 3D Stitch Pins.

The stitch pins are no longer displayed in the 3D window.

To display the 3D stitch pins, click .
Corner points and notches continue to display. This feature has no effect on the display of stitches in the 2D window.
