The X and Y position of the button and buttonhole. You can change the position by typing in the desired X and Y position. Note: You can also change the position by dragging the object in the 2D or 3D window.

Size of the button and buttonhole. You can change the size by typing in the desired width or height. Changing height automatically changes width proportionately, and the other way around.

The angle of the button and buttonhole. You can change the rotation angle by typing in the angle you want.

• If is displayed, the button and buttonhole are dynamically linked, so rotating the button also rotates the buttonhole, and the other way around.

• Click if you want to remove the link.

• Click to reinstate the link.

Click the thumbnail of the button or the buttonhole to select which part you want to configure. The selected part is highlighted with a blue outline.

If the button and buttonhole are dynamically linked, if you move, for example, the button, the matching buttonhole is moved to maintain the original distance from the button.

• By default, the button and buttonhole are not dynamically linked, as shown by .

• Click to link the button and buttonhole. If dynamically linked, is displayed.

• To remove the link, click .

Displays the pieces to which the button and buttonhole are assigned to. Hover over a square and the following icon is displayed: .

Click to disconnect the part from the piece. Then do one of the following:

• In the 2D window, click where you want the now disconnected part to be.

• Press Esc to assign both parts to where the remaining unselected part is located.

Click Inside to move the button and buttonhole to the inside of the piece. If inside, click Outside to move the button and buttonhole to the front of the piece.

By default, the button and buttonhole are displayed in all sizes. To change this:

1. Click . A menu of available sizes is displayed. For example:

   

2. Select the sizes you want the button and buttonhole to be displayed in.

Clone by offset allows you to quickly and accurately add multiple copies of the already placed button and buttonhole.

To add multiple copies:

1. Click Clone by Offset. The following dialog box is displayed.

   

2. Type the values you want for:

   1. X, to set the horizontal distance from the item

   2. Y, to set the vertical distance from the item

   3. Copies, to set the number of copies you want

3. Click Apply. The cloned buttons are displayed.

Allows you to set the layer order of the object.

• Click to put the object to the top.

• Click to move the object up one layer.

• Click to put the object to the bottom.

• Click to move the object down one layer.
