Note

Version 2021.3.1 includes the first part of a gradual user interface refresh. Icons in the software may display with slight differences from the versions shown in the Help Center. In addition, you can now choose a light or dark user interface. For more information, refer to Appearance.

You must enable the gizmo to be able to use it. Once enabled, you can use the gizmo in the 2D window to rotate, and resize pieces.

Using the Gizmo

With the gizmo enabled, you can:

Resize a piece or an artwork

Click in the piece or artwork, and drag a corner of the gizmo. Press Shift or Alt while doing this to resize from the center.

Click in the piece or artwork line, and drag the black rotation point in the gizmo circle. The element rotates from the point where the gizmo is located.

Note:

  • Press Shift while rotating to restrict the rotation to changes of 45° at a time.

  • The angle of rotation displays when you rotate, or when you click the black rotation point in the gizmo circle. You can click on the number and type in a value for more precise rotation.

For more information, refer to Snapping Pieces During Rotation.

Relocate the gizmo

Drag the center point of the gizmo, or click on the new location.
