Tutorial Map

To start the tutorial, expand and work through all the following:

Know the VStitcher User Interface

If you are not already familiar with the VStitcher user interface, here are the parts you need to know:

The tutorial uses these names, and you will find progress easier if you know them. You can always refer back here for guidance.

Download the Tutorial File

The tutorial file is tutorial1.dxf.

To download the tutorial file:

  1. Click here.

  2. Make a note of where you save the file.

Import the Tutorial File

To import the tutorial file:

  1. Open VStitcher.

  2. On the Main menu, click File, then Import. A file explorer window is displayed.

  3. Navigate to wherever you saved the tutorial file and select it.

  4. Click Open.

    A dialog box is displayed.

  5. In Size Multiplier, ensure x 1 is selected.

  6. In Shape Rotation, ensure 90 is selected.

  7. Click OK. The available pieces are displayed in the 2D window.

Select the Avatar

To select the avatar:

  1. On the Resources tabs, click 3D then Avatars.

    The available avatars are displayed.

  2. From the available avatars, double-click Adam. The selected avatar is displayed in the 3D window.

    Note

    It may take a few moments for the avatar to display.

    If you want to know more about avatars, refer to Avatars .

Once you have imported the tutorial file and selected the avatar, continue with Creating Pieces.
