To add a patch pocket, add internal lines to the patterns where the pocket is stitched. For a regular patch pocket, place the pocket pattern on top and trace the edges as an internal line. To stitch a pocket to two pieces, add internal lines to both patterns.
For example, to add a patch pocket along the side seam, trace the internal lines on both the front and back pattern.
To add a patch pocket, here are some techniques to use:
For easy stitching, add notches and corner points to split the pocket edges .
Use the Gizmo to rotate the pocket pattern before tracing, and change the pivot point if needed. Use the pocket grain line as a guide for rotation.
To shorten an internal line, add a point (using the Pen tool) where you want the line to end. Then, delete all the points that are past that new point that you have added.
