Release Notes VStitcher 2025.1.3

Release Notes

Release Date: May 18th 2025

We are pleased to announce the release of VStitcher 2025.1.3, a minor but important update focused on enhancing connectivity, usability, and communication for production workflows. This version introduces targeted improvements that reinforce precision and efficiency in collaboration, especially when preparing digital assets for downstream teams.

What's New

Tech Pack Enhancements

  • Improved Layout for Long Text Entries
In the Excel Tech Pack, we've expanded the display area for Style Name, Artwork Material Name, and Artwork Information fields. This prevents long entries from being cut off, ensuring all information is clearly visible without requiring manual resizing by stakeholders.
  • New Option to Control the Repeat Image
A new checkbox has been added under BOM. → Group Materials in the Tech Pack export dialog (for both HTML and Excel formats). This allows you to exclude the repeat image from the All Over Print page, providing greater control over the final output.

Layering by Area

The Layering by Area feature introduced in version 2025.1.1 has been further enhanced with a Brush Tool. This tool enables intuitive area selection directly on the 3D garment, using either single clicks or brush strokes. It's especially helpful for defining layering on narrow pattern pieces such as straps. The areas selected in 3D will automatically generate corresponding shapes in 2D, simplifying selection and refinement.

Vector Artwork Color Names Integration

  • Preserved Color Swatch Names from Illustrator
When importing vector artworks from Adobe Illustrator into VStitcher, color swatch names are now preserved. These names will remain visible in VStitcher, even after editing externally back to Illustrator.
  • Color Mode Support Details
Supported modes include RGB and CMYK. For artworks using LAB mode, VStitcher will display RGB values instead of swatch names. To retain color names, convert LAB colors to RGB or CMYK in Illustrator before import.
  • Tech Pack Exposure
These color names are also included in Tech Pack exports for improved transparency and documentation.

Folder Structure Exposed in Share to Stylezone

The Share to Stylezone dialog now displays the full folder hierarchy of the destination location. This makes it significantly easier to navigate and accurately select the desired folder, as each folder now includes its complete path.

Soft Avatar Improvements

  • Gravity Toggle for Avatar Deformation
Users can now enable or disable gravity effects on avatars during soft body deformation simulations. This is especially useful when using avatars that already incorporate realistic gravity effects, such as those captured from real body scans.
  • Edge Force Enhancements
The influence of edge forces in soft avatar simulation has been strengthened, delivering more realistic deformations when Force Multiplier is applied on edges. To fully benefit from these improvements, it is recommended to use the “Soft” option enabled in the Avatar Softness parameter. This setting intensifies the responsiveness of edge forces, enhancing the overall realism of soft body behavior.

What's fixed

  • Materials of cloned colorways using vector artwork saved rasterized file instead of vector files in "Originals" folder of exported Tech Pack.
  • Garment disappeared in 3D window when using OpenGL display engine om Mac with Intel CPU.
  • On Windows, recent files shown on the home screen couldn’t be deleted from the file system while displayed.
  • Generated U3Ma Files couldn’t reimport into VStitcher/Lotta.
  • Fixed issues when sending GLB files to Stage 3D.
  • Fixed an issue where USD format was not showing on the export options.
  • Artwork scale changed when a garment was uploaded to SZ as a 3D Object.
  • Fixed an issue with Replace Between Internal Lines function where further editing of internal lines prevented additional replacement action on the edited internal line.
