Rulers
You can create and store rulers in VStitcher to document measurements of an edge or line, or multiple connected edges or lines. Rulers are useful for keeping track of important measurements when adjusting pattern pieces. You can save rulers, change their names, and export them as a CSV file.
To create a saved ruler:
On the Main toolbar, click Select.

In the 2D window, select the edges or lines to be measured and saved.
If selecting an edge, on the Horizontal contextual menu, ensure Pieces is selected.
If selecting an internal line, on the Horizontal contextual menu, ensure Internal is selected.
Go to the Context view, and click Save as Ruler. The ruler is now saved.
To view a saved ruler:
On the Resources tabs, click Params.

Click Rulers. Saved rulers are displayed.
The following image shows a ruler applied to a line with different 2D and 3D measurements.
To rename a saved ruler:
On the Resources tabs, click Params.

Click Rulers. Saved rulers are displayed.
Click the ruler name you want to change.
Type the new name.
Press Enter.
To delete a saved ruler:
On the Resources tabs, click Params.

Click Rulers. Saved rulers are displayed.
Select the ruler you want to delete.

Click . The ruler is deleted.
To export the saved rulers as a CSV file:
On the Resources tabs, click Params.

Click Rulers. Saved rulers are displayed.

Click .
A menu is displayed.

Click:
Current Size Only to export the rulers for the current size of garment only.

All Sizes to export the rulers for all sizes of the garment.
A file explorer window is displayed.
Navigate to where you want to export the file.
Optional - type a different name for the file.
Click Save.
