Release Date: March 30ᵗʰ, 2026
We are excited to introduce VStitcher 2026.1, a major release focused on visual fidelity, rendering stability, enterprise scalability, and AI-powered collaboration.
This release strengthens rendering reliability with Unreal Lite, improves cross-platform color consistency, and enhances production-ready exports.
Print to File - Customizations
Gain greater control over pattern exports with new customization capabilities in the Print to File dialog.
Users can now define:
Pattern outline weight
Pattern outline color (including CMYK support)
Notch length
Notch color
These enhancements reduce post-export editing in Illustrator or Photoshop and ensure clearer, production-ready documentation for suppliers and external partners.
Print to File Pipeline - Correction & Consistency
A major refactoring of the internal color rendering pipeline ensures accurate and consistent color representation across:
2D and 3D viewports
V-Ray, and Unreal engines
Image editor and thumbnails
Exported outputs
Stylezone 3D Viewer
This update eliminates mesh grey tint issues, transparency oversaturation, dull diffuse maps, and cross-engine discrepancies. Designers can now trust that what they see on screen matches exports and shared visuals.
Unreal Lite - OpenGL Replacement
Introducing Unreal Lite - a hardware-accessible Unreal rendering mode designed to replace OpenGL while supporting lower-spec GPUs and enterprise hardware constraints.
Unreal Lite:
Matches OpenGL visual standards within Unreal
Optimizes performance for integrated and mid-range GPUs
Reduces GPU load and improves stability
Enables safe and gradual OpenGL deprecation
This ensures all users can transition to Unreal without disruption or hardware upgrades.
More information about Unreal Lite can be found here.
Blender & V-Ray Path and Version Validation
Improved rendering reliability through enhanced configuration validation.
VStitcher now:
Validates Blender executable paths (local and remote)
Blocks unsupported or invalid configurations
Warns when Blender versions are not supported
Displays remote Blender and V-Ray versions used for cloud rendering
Enforces sandboxed installation rules
This reduces silent rendering failures, eliminates configuration guesswork, and improves enterprise reliability.
What's Discontinued
OpenGL rendering engine is now deprecated and replaced by Unreal Lite.
