The following image shows a multilayered fabric with the stacking order of each of the fabrics forming the group.

To change the stacking order of multilayered fabrics:

1. If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

   

2. Click the fabric group you want to edit.

3. Go to the Context view.

4. Select which fabric you want to move. Drag to put the fabric in a different stacking order.

   

This property has no effect on the appearance or simulation of the fabric. If selected, the fabric is rendered as an all over print in the tech pack.

To have the fabric rendered as an all over print in the tech pack:

1. If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

   

2. Click the fabric group.

3. Go to the Context view.

4. On the row of the fabric you want to enable an all over print, click . A menu is displayed.

   

5. Click Allover Print. The fabric is rendered as an all over print in the tech pack.

In a multilayered fabric, you select one fabric's physical properties to be used as the physical properties for the group.

To select the physical properties for the group:

1. If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

   

2. Click the fabric group.

3. Go to the Context view.

4. On the row of the fabric whose physical properties you want to use, click . A menu is displayed.

   

5. Click Use Physics. The physical properties of the fabric are used for the group.

To remove a fabric from a group:

1. If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

   

2. Click the fabric group you want to edit.

3. Go to the Context view.

4. On the row of the fabric you want to remove, click . A menu is displayed.

   

5. Click Remove from Group. The fabric is removed from the group.

You can also remove a fabric from a group using the Resources tabs.

To remove a fabric:

1. If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

   

2. Hover over the thumbnail of the group you want to edit, and click . A menu is displayed.

3. Click Look Inside. The fabrics in the group are displayed in a pop-up pane.

   

4. On the row for the fabric you want to remove, click . A menu is displayed.

   

5. Click Remove from Group. A confirmation message is displayed.

6. Click Yes. The fabric is removed from the group

To clone a fabric in a group:

1. If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

   

2. Click the fabric group you want to edit.

3. Go to the Context view.

4. On the row of the fabric you want to clone, click . A menu is displayed.

   

5. Click Clone Fabric. The cloned fabric is added to the group.

To edit a fabric texture, you must edit it in external software.

To edit the texture of the Diffuse channel in external software:

1. If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

   

2. Click the fabric group you want to edit.

3. Go to the Context view.

4. On the row of the fabric you want to edit, click . A menu is displayed.

   

5. Click Edit Externally. The file is opened in the image editor specified in your preferences.

6. Edit the file as required.

7. Save the file.

8. Return to VStitcher to view the changes.

To rename a fabric in a group:

1. If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

   

2. Click the fabric group you want to edit.

3. Go to the Context view.

4. On the row of the fabric you want to rename, click . A menu is displayed.

   

5. Click Rename. The Rename Material dialog box is displayed.

6. Type in the new name.

7. Select or clear Apply to all Colorways according to whether you want the new name to be applied to all colorways.

8. Click OK.

To delete a group fabric from a garment:

1. If the Materials tab is not already open, on the Resources tabs, click Materials.

   

2. Click the fabric group you want to edit.

3. Go to the Context view.

4. On the row of the fabric you want to delete, click . A menu is displayed.

   

5. Click Delete. A confirmation message is displayed.

6. Click Yes. The fabric is deleted from the group and the garment.

In a multilayered material, the Hide icon is displayed at the left side of each layer, and above the Face and Back texture images.

To hide a layer, click for that layer.

Within a layer, to hide the Face or Back, click for that side.

When a layer or a side is hidden, is displayed.
